Guide for Internal Editing
From Verified Handles
Internal/Guide
Welcome! You now have internal access to directly edit your entry, so no more waiting for a staff member to update your entry.
Use the headings below to learn how to edit your entry(s).
Edit an entry
To edit an entry first enter the VHID of the entry you want to edit into the box below. You can only use the below search box, do not try to directly find the entry and edit it - it will not work.
To edit the entry's source code, and therefore make changes, click the button, then Edit.
Adding a social media
Find the associated template code at the list of social templates and add it in the form {{code(eg 'Twt' for Twitter)|username}}. For templates with 2 peices of data use {{code|YouTube channel ID|Channel name}}.
Add a picture
Please email the support email support@verifiedhandles.com and we will unblock this feature for your account, with instructions.
Changing other data
More detailed definitions of how data is stored in the database is available at dev.verifiedhandles.com/api.
You can always email support@verifiedhandles.com and get us to make the edits for you if you are unsure.
Save your edits
Once you have made your changes to the entry click the button.
Caching
Your edit should be automatically distributed to our caching servers, uk.cache.verifiedhandles.com and us.cache.verifiedhandles.com. If the older revision remains despite forcing a refresh (CTRL+F5 or similar) please leave a request here and leave a note to our developers here with the entry's VHID. We'll investigate so future edits are shown correctly.
Reverting mistakes
If your entry doesn't display how you intend it to, use the button then 'History' and undo the revision containing the mistake.
Obtain a custom URL
By having claimed entry(s) you are eligible for a custom URL, or possibly multiple custom URL's if you are known by multiple pseudonyms.
Visit edit.verifiedhandles.com/customurl to request one.
