Yevgeni Nikolayevich Ponasenkov (Russian: Евгений Николаевич Понасенков; born March 13, 1982, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian publicist and media personality. He has written about the Napoleonic era in Russia and is the author of two controversial monographs: "The Truth about the War of 1812" (Russian: «Правда о войне 1812 года», 2004, 408 p.) and "The First Scientific History of the War of 1812" (Russian: «Первая научная история войны 1812 года», 2017, 900 p.)Ponasenkov is also the author of more than three hundred journalistic, critical and philosophical articles and essays on theatre, cinema and classical history. from Wikipedia
